I'm traveling to Paris in two weeks and will stop by the Aviation Club de France while there. Does anyone know if I will be able to walk in off the street to play, or need to be a member?
Thanks |

Wear dress shoes, not sneakers, and no jeans. There's no entry fee, but you have to fill out a membership form (free).

FWIW, when I was there last year during a small tournament (Hold'em Series or sth like that in November) players didn't have to dress well, but I couldn't go into the casino area in my T-shirt. I wore a T, jeans, but no sneakers.
Be prepared to tip. For everything. |

Not every doorperson enforces the dress code equally strong. Sportshoes are a big no for most of them, and jeans depend on who is at the door. Drinks are free at the table but tip is expected.
2/4NL and under are raked. 5/5 NL or PL and higher have a table charge. IIRC it was 20 / hour for 5/5 and 40/hour for 10/20. I was in a 10/20NL where the players asked to lower the blinds 'cause it was cheaper / hour'. They changed the blinds and nothing changed in the game dynamic lol. They work with waiting lists but you gotta make sure to be friendly to the people behind them, otherwise you can be waiting forever especially for the higher games. The higher games usually only start in the evening and run through the night. They are not capped usually. good luck |
