Default Took a shot at the Bellagio 10-20

Decided to play some NL while I was there as a break from my normal limit game. Overall it went pretty well, just want to hear some feedback on a couple hands, thanks.

Bellagio $10-$20NL:

Hand #1

We're 3-handed, effective stack is $3000.

Button (a local Vietnamese player named Jimmy I think) makes it $60, I call in the SB w/ 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], BB calls.

3 players ($180)

Flop: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I lead for $220, BB folds, Button calls.

2 players ($620)

Turn: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet $360, Button calls.

2 players ($1340)

River: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet $1300......

Comments?

==========================================

Hand #2

9-handed now.

I ($2700) open UTG for $80 w/ 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] , UTG+1 ($3500) already had chips in his hand and it appears he may have been planning to raise, but he just calls. We're heads up.

2 players ($190)

Flop: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, he bets $100, I call

2 players ($390)

Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I check, he bets $200, I raise to $860....

How is my line so far?

Hand 1 is fine.

Hand 2, after you raise UTG and c/call that flop you're basically screaming "I have at least AQ." Your chances of getting action on the turn are lower than if you had just led both streets IMO. I would almost always lead the flop.

2nd hand:

Your line in full ring here is extremely read dependant. If you think he'll call a flop and turn bet with a decent weak/ace or even an underpair, I think you're better off leading yourself. Weak Passive Players Preflop will tend to check just call with a weaker Ace and bet the stronger. It seems to me that he probably has a hand like AT, AJ, AQ, AK, if he was in late position and planning to raise.

I like leading the first flop and then c/r on this the turn.
So even if he's looking you up light, you have a chance to extract another bet on a blank turn with a C/R. (But then again, he'd have to be willing to bluff postflop).

Again, a weak passive player or even a tight smart player will check behind that turn a lot for pot control. Now that I think about it more, a check/call and donking the turn would confuse the hell out of him. If he has an ace, he's probably not going anywhere and will raise you with a decent one.
Your line in the second hand is clear to a solid player who's probably going to fold a decent Ace here, but live.. I like it a lot against someone not smart.

1st hand is WP.

i like your play in both hands... a cpl suggextions on bet sizes...

hand 1, bet less on the river... your bet is almost impossible to look up w/ KQ... if u think he is a horrid calling station or extremely suspicious of YOU, fine.
hand 2, raise a little more on the turn so u can shove river more comfortably.

hand 1 i would bet more on the turn and less on the river.
hand 2 i would just play the 'standard' way and bet the flop.

hand 1 is ok.

hand 2, id bet the flop unless you have a really good reason to c-c (ie. you've played tons of hands w/ villain and he knows you'll always lead a big hand)

it is just me or does hand #1 scream

I JUST HIT MY FLUSH?

why are u betting so little? it screams monster just like hand #1

FWIW when I see someone bet 1/2 pot and then full pot onm the next street I am almost always sure they have a monster. If u wanna blow me off a hand this is the way to do it.

F,

The bet sizes in hand 1 are weird. The flop a lead or c-c is fine. On the turn, I would either lead more or (a lot of times) go for a checkraise. River as played I'd bet a little less.

In hand 2, I would usually lead/lead. After c-c flop, I would probably lead rather than checkraise the turn.

Thanks guys, my bet sizes did feel a little awkward here.

Hand #1:
He went into the tank after my river bet. Then he had me count my remaining stack which actually started to worry me, what if he raises, I mean I have to call right? Eventually he folded, and I saw some paint flash, so probably at least a Q, maybe two kings?

Hand #2:
He reraised me $800 more after my turn checkraise, I pushed, he called with AK, and the river blanked, ship it. How badly did he play it, I guess he put me on a worse ace? Should he check flop or turn for pot control with AK there? His reraise on the turn seems really bad.
