The Internet Bonuses forum is out of control.

At the time of this post, 12 of the first 16 threads are about the Mansion free-bet promotion. They are all completely duplicative of one another, and ask and answer all the exact same questions.

I have never seen a moderator in this forum in the time I've been reading it. For that reason, the forum has always had a somewhat bad signal/noise ratio, but it has now become completely unreadable. "2nd-order" Affiliate spam (not starting threads with your affiliate link, but making posts that say "PM me for a really good deal!") is going completely unchecked, and this forum is dying a slow death.

Perhaps it will get better on it's own (the game that Mansion's promo concerns is on Thursday night), but this is a request that someone take a more active role in this forum.

It's a sponsored forum (by Poker Source). So, they basically get to run it however they see fit.

Dynasty - True, but is this really a valid excuse?

Some of us want to discuss internet-bonuses on 2+2 and I think we're supposed to do it in the IB forum (whether it's sponsored or not).
I suspect that if we started discussing it in the Zoo it is possible we would specifically be told to take it to IB (or sports-betting).


If they are going to just let it go unmodded for the most part and let the spam and duplicate threads go on then I think this reflects on ALL of 2+2 (even though it is a sponsored forum).


2+2 needs to more strongly consider that such sponsored forums have to stay within their guidelines.
This would include occasionally present moderation to delete such duplicate posts and to take care of the spammers.


Lots of 2+2'ers don't see that it is a sponsored forum. On the green side-bar it looks just the same as any other forum.
Otherwise, I can just go there and spam-away all I like...have it appear ON 2+2 for the masses to 'click here for a free $100' (or whatever)...and be fairly comfortable that it might go undeleted for a decent amount of time.


FWIW - I think there may be SOME modding going on there currently, but I agree it's getting a bit silly and we probably could use a little more.

Point of fact: Poker Source's last post was in July. His post before that was in May. If there's any modding going on, I'm not aware of it.

MB makes a good point. If 2p2.com is going to have an explicit rule that discussions of rakeback or affiliations are prohibitted in all forums except the RB forum, then sponsored or not, 2p2.com has a responsibility to provide a viable place for these discussions to take place.

I agree. I see no reason why 2+2 can't provide a user mod to keep the forum within 2+2 guidelines. Deleting the troll/spam threads would be especially welcome.
