Hmmm he overbets turn, so I c/r AI with one pair
Standard? Haven't seen too much from this guy, except that he earlier posted in MP, so i assume he can't be great. he's also limped a coupla times
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver) Hero ($615) UTG ($594) MP ($362.05) CO ($591) Button ($2371.26) SB ($747.31) Preflop: Hero is BB with K, T. SB posts a blind of $3. UTG calls $6, MP calls $6, 1 fold[/i]</font>, Button calls $6, 1 fold[/i]</font>, Hero checks. Flop: ($27) 8, T, 4 [color=#0000FF](4 players)</font> Hero bets $20</font>, UTG raises to $50</font>, MP folds, Button folds, Hero calls $30. Turn: ($127) 4 (2 players)</font> Hero checks, Villian bets $175, Hero c/r AI I would have folded to a normal sized bet on the turn, but the huge overbet gave me the impression he could only have a flush draw. I didn't think he would play a set or two pair this way, especially since the turn would have filled up his set, so he shouldn't have been worried about a flush hitting on the river...thoughts? |

Re: Hmmm he overbets turn, so I c/r AI with one pair
Are you sereal?!
If i was this guy I'd be overbetting the turn with a very strong hand i wanted all my money in with, hoping to catch someoen with a so-so hand liek top pair get stuborn and click away there stack. Uness i had a good read on opponent (IE i've seen him od this at least twice before with draws or stone bluffs) than i would fold. Your call screams sheriif to me |

I think a club draw would check behind?

Looks fine to me ....that being said i like the craise all in...calling here seems like the worst option so either fold or craise all in.

Maybe with two pair, but in my experience, bad players usually bet tiny amounts hoping for calls with big hands. |

It looks a lot like a T that he is trying to take down right away. C/r or fold, I like the c/r but obviously increases variance

Re: Hmmm he overbets turn, so I c/r AI with one pair
T8 is definite possibility for him. When you call his c/r, he figures you for JT/AT/KT/QT kind of hand. He knows you know the 4 didnt hit him but he's still good with his top two and wants to pump pot since you like your second best hand, and his isnt a lock. Agreed with OP that he doesnt play 88 like this. He just figures you have 6 outs, and wants to get money in now.

Re: Hmmm he overbets turn, so I c/r AI with one pair
His flop was just a raise (villian had position on hero) not a c/r but I agree he puts hero on just the hand he's got and top 2 is big concern here.
