September goals?

I haven't seen a September goals thread yet, so I decided to start one. If there is a thread already and my search skills are not properly functional, feel free to berate me for it. [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]


My goals for the month of September:
1. Finish reading Tournament poker for advanced players.
2. Pick up No Limit Hold'Em: Theory and Practice using my PokerStars FPP's.
3. Read said No Limit book.
4. Use my new NL Tourney knowledge to participate in some larger tournaments.
5. Play 6k hands of 0.50/1.00 6-max.
6. Achieve said goal in (5) while maintaining at least 1BB/100.
7. Try to find more time to help my fiancee with school.
8. Take a daytrip somewhere to get away from things.

1. Play 5000 hands.
2. Play live at least twice.
3. Finish reading Hold'em for Advanced Players.
4. Read SSH again.
5. Stick around the forums this time, instead of taking another "break," like I usually do.
6. Actually do the forum stuff that will help me improve my game (grunch, post, session reviews, etc...) instead of just reading for entertainment.
7. Berate people more frequently [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

2. Read King Yao's book
3. Don't play any donkaments
4. Get my WtSD to atleast 28%
5. Get an A in a SQL class I am taking

1. 10K hands, at at least .50/1

Ditto. I do the session reviews but I spend far too much time in the NC posts and not thinking deeply enough about hand posts.

Also,

1) Improve my hand reading skills
2) Do a better job adapting to my opponents
3) Make more situational and positional plays instead of playing ABC

2) Reread SSH
3) Finish my program for instant hand histories for wpex.
4) Whore some bonueses.
5) Buy some more reading material for my week in the bahamas the first week of oct.

I also want to work on 1 and 3. Of course this goes along with my quest of getting better at 6-max.

Let me also add more 6max play myself. I am at .25/.50 right now and want to get atleast 600BB before I move up to .50/1. I am really begining to see why players on the forum love 6max. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

- read short-handed boards more (since I'm playing 6-max exclusively)
- 10k hands 6-max .5/1.00 (did 9,300 last month, I think I can do it)
- finish some poker books I've started (Sklansky's Essays, TOP)
- get a regular home game started
- lose ~6 pounds
