Default Too aggressive with set?

Was new to the table so no good reads. Players on pacific are generally loose and passive. It was a FR game that was beginning to fill up.

Looks good.

If he has anything that beats you, he's a fool. I figure you're looking at KJ/AJ from someone and two pair from someone else.

But based on your title, I guess I'm wrong.

Man, you really have to wonder about CO on this hand. BB's a real champ, too. I think this is fine.

Set over set is rare and the board is fairly uncoordinated so I think this is fine. I may just call the river afraid of that UTG had 9T. Hopefully you were only against big Js and not 88 or a slowplayed JJ.

Sheesh - between UTG and the CO I can't figure out who is playing what here.

Hard to figure out why the CO woke up again with a 4, but I think in general the hand was played just fine.

Bizzaro - I have nothing to offer.

let's see..6-handed, 4th nuts on turn, weird action to nail down JJ & T9 for UTG. I think it looks fine.

*GRUNCH*

First problem is that your topic is "too aggressive with set?". In limit we raise our sets to the death on a clean board.

I wouldn't credit UTG with anything better than two-pair. He posted UTG for christ's sake. I'm guessing he has some ragged two pair or loves his Jack.

I was worried about CO turning a gutshot but his fold on the river gets rid of that worry.

If UTG flips over straight I tell him well done and I'll get you next time.

Played fine as is.

UTG's play is consistent with...I dunno, 56s? Then again, he posted UTG, so by default he sucks. Normally I'm the one saying, "Yeah, you overplayed this set" but these guys clearly don't know what they're doing. nh

Or possibly 88.

To OP: This was good and proper use of your Raising Rock. I might have just called the river raise, but not extracting enough value on the river is a leak of mine.

nh sir.
