What legit hands are you betting full pot with on the flop? He has to think that his pair outs are good, as well as the flush outs. Seems pretty standard.

I am sometimes not good at sensing internet sarcasm, but your kidding right? OP you got it in as greater than a 4-1 favorite not much you can do beyond that. I think you played it well, once that flop comes you want as much money in the pot on the flop possible.
