10/25 Tstone: Smokey and the Bandit
Same 10/25 game at TStone. Table is full of 2p2ers and I have the nittiest of nitty table images (check calling down in EP with AK when it hits, check, calling down on the button with a flopped set, etc.) I have also told the players at the table that I have laid down hands as good as top set when a scare card hit on the turn... I have not shown down a bluff in 10 hours. My image is tighter than that of Tommy Angelo.
We momentarily dropped to 5 handed. "Smokey" has 20k and I have him covered. "Smokey" is a 2p2er and claims to be up a few hundred thousand playing online donkaments. He, along with everyone else at the table, has been playing back at me and I have been folding. Hero is on the button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG limps, UTG+1 limps, Hero limps, SB limps, BB raps. Flop ($125) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB checks, Smokey checks, EP checks, MP bets $175, Hero raises to $650, Smokey 3-bets to $2500, MP folds, Hero thinks for a few minutes and pushes for $17000 more. Thoughts? |

Re: 10/25 Tstone: Smokey and the Bandit
because of the history, why should he think you play a set like this?

Re: 10/25 Tstone: Smokey and the Bandit
stacks seem wayyy too deep to semibluff like this after action goes bet - raise by tightest guy - 3 bet.

Your representing exactly 44 here?

Re: 10/25 Tstone: Smokey and the Bandit
First off, i dont think you should be sitting this deep if youre as tight as you say you are. It's look like to me that either smokey has a set here, or has complete air and is trying to bully around the tight guy. i really dont like your push at all, he's not going to fold any set here and youre getting rid of a smaller flush draw.

I think you should un- nittify yourself by getting it all in on the flop with a set or two pair not a flush draw with overs. I think this is a bad play, regardless of results.

Re: 10/25 Tstone: Smokey and the Bandit
I dont like it. Problem is you're representing exactly what he has.
Also, this deep with 5 players taking flop and nut draw, just call flop, why push out players who checked earlier and may have worse flush draw. This is just weird. |
