I hit my flizzy, now what?
OK, 4 handed, 2/4, .25 ante, $1 BI.. A 4s brings in, Ad raises, I have a small club 3 flush with a 4 as the door, and I call, another 4 folds, and the BI calls.. (So the 4's are rather dead..)
4th st. I catch a small club, Ace D catches a 9s, and the other 4 catches rag.. the ace bets, I call, and the other guy folds.. 5th st., I catch a rag, my opponent catches the Ts, he bets, I call... 6th st. I rag off, he catches another spade, bets, I call.. River, I catch my fifth club completing the flizzy, my opponent bets, I ??? |

I raise. You are ahead most of the time unless he backed into a flush. If so, oh well I guess.

One thing I should have mentioned is that my opponent is decent.

[ QUOTE ]
One thing I should have mentioned is that my opponent is decent. [/ QUOTE ] Does it matter? What matters is whether he bets two pairs there. If the answer is yes, raise, and start worrying when he reraises. |

Re: I hit my flizzy, now what?
I'm new to stud, so take this a grain of salt (or many).
You've caught the hand you were going for, why be afraid to put money in the pot? He could easily be betting down 2 pair or trips. You said he was decent, so I'm guessing one pair is out of the question (though someone could bet down Aces all the way). Raise, if he reraises, I guess I'd call (but the call to the reraise is my newby play). |

Raise. Fold to a re-raise. [/ QUOTE ] Raise. Make a crying call if he re-raises. (After all, he could have backed into a straight or a lower flush or he may even think you weak and be betting trips.) |

Re: I hit my flizzy, now what?
He might have, but is he really going to 3-bet a straight. From the post all his flush cards were "babies" so I might pay off If my 7th street flush card was high.
