At the end of the game are they just supposed to say, "It has just come to our attention that the other team hasn't gotten a single hit yet!" Imagine the announcers not mentioning Kobe's point total during his 81 point game for fear of jinxing him. And don't give me that crap about it being tradition or part of baseball lore. Just because baseball has a lot of stupid and illogical traditions and beliefs (which explains how Dusty Baker can be employed), doesn't mean intelligent people can't ignore them.
