It's the EV you can expect from a single blackjack session.

Figure out your overall edge and multiply it by how many hands you expect to play and how much you are betting??

You could consider yourself to have negative edge I guess.

If you lose $.20/hand and play 500 hands, your EV is -100.

I'm perplexed as to why you even mention EV if you are considering playing blackjack and not counting cards. That is to say, people who know a game is -EV and still choose to play it usually don't care to figure out exactly how much they should lose in a session.

Deposit match bonuses. Deposit $100 get $100 free. Even playing a negative EV game you actually have positive EV.

And $2 minimum tables with friendly, slow dealers and good drink service can easily be plus EV, if you normally have to pay retail for alcohol.

Oh, and gambling's fun.

Yeah, this question is a little harder when you vary your bets by the deck count. But anybody who keeps their bet constant and uses the term "trip-EV" either don't know that EV is linear or don't know how to multiply.
