A Leading Question Someone Gave Me
So, I thought it was at least interesting and was curious to hear some others thoughts.
#1. If you could design transportation to get from America to Europe in 1 hour although it would cost 100,000 lives a year to do so, would you do it? #2. Was it right to mass produce the automobile? |

didn't people used to die on the oregon trail? your question is kind of stupid. [/ QUOTE ] Well, that's what I said. But, of course, they said not near the # of people died as in car accidents. I guess they were asking like if you were Henry Ford, would you make that decision. |

[/ QUOTE ] Sorry but this whole line of questioning is ridiculous. The overall economic benefit of the automobile is far far greater than 1 hour US to Europe transportation. There is no consideration for the number and frequency of use of the automobile compared to 1 hour US to Europe transportation (or the Oregon trail for that matter). |

Re: A Leading Question Someone Gave Me
I'd jsut say "cars don't kill people, idiots using cars kill people', maybe if teh 100,000 people killed were all the idiots who drink and drive or try to run red lights to save a few minutes off their commute then I wouldn't mind the trans atlantic transport idea.
