If your checking calling the turn, I would follow the same line on the river. This all depends on your thought process in the hand. Was this a blocking bet or value bet? Either way, your bet seems very weak. Tough opponents will push with a busted flush draw here almost always. I just don't like your line. As played, I would fold to the all-in, but I would have doubts about whether I was just outplayed.

I think a better line (more aggresive) is CR-AI on the turn. What is your range for villan?

I definitely agree c/c river is better, but A crai turn is just folding out all the hands I beat (QJ, KJ, AT, pretty much all draws, etc.) and hes only calling with hands that beat me (JT, set, etc.)

blocking bet.. I played this hand a while ago and after reviewing some hands came up with it and thought that his push really looked like a missed draw.

c/c river better?

This sucks what are you afraid of on the turn? And the river, what hands do you put him on that you're afraid of? JT, set of 3s? I would think both of those are raising this flop alomost always. Is this guy calling your raise with Q9? I don't think so. This hand was definitely a huge botch job. Bet the turn, check call river, your line just seems like a block bet or busted draw and is a pretty easy raise for a tough opponent.

My only problem is that you bet really weak on the turn and river. On the river, if your going to bet 1/2 pot, why not check and call. I sometimes float a flop, then float the turn when faced with a weak bet and then push all rivers. I don't know if this was what villan did, but your line makes it perfect for such a play.

What can he have here that would slowplay a two flush draw board, with a straight draw as well. Two pairs/set raises the flop or the turn. This more read based than anything, but without reads I call this. I don't see what he has that beats you based on villan's line.

I would have bet the turn 2/3 to 3/4 pot. River is good.

OK, I confess...

I'm confused about this post. This looks WA/WB to me, and in SSNL I think they would say that the way Hero played was "ultra standard".

Someone set me straight on this...
