Default Saddest Scene in a Sitcom

I'm going with "Have a Good Life", the final episode to Diane's exit in Cheers. Any other good ones?

MASH is a tricky one because it wasn't exactly a traditional sit-com.

But the episode where Henry is leaving is set up pretty much as comedy throughout (with some predictably touching moments like Radar saluting him as he's getting on the helicpoter).
So I think this is a decent nomination.

Interestingly, the writers did not tell the cast the ending of the episode until moments before they were to shoot the final scene and there was genuine shock when the cast was told. Obviously they kept this info from them in an attempt for a more genuine feeling of shock in that scene.

Ditto. I read somewhere that they did multiple takes of this scene and Gary Burghoff nailed each time. This show had one of the finest cast of actors ever on TV.

Ooh thats a good one. Also in "Goodbye, Farewell, Amen" where Hawkeye realizes that the lady on the bus killed a baby and not a dog is a pretty tough scene.

The final episode of Growing Pains where they turn off the lights in the house and walk out the door is up tere on my list.

correct. It was a chicken and not a dog.

While categorizing the series MASH is kind of tricky imo (not a traditional 'sit-com') I am okay with looking at some of the scenes from those shows (such as Radar leaving, Henry dying, etc).

You could pick out several of the scenes from the last MASH episode (including Hawkeye's realization) but I'm not really sure that one should.
While there were a couple of amusing moments in the last episode, it very much struck me as more of a 'drama' than a 'sit-com' even moreso than the rest of the series.

I can't think of any other sit-com that had so little comedy and so much drama as this 2-hour film.
Thus, I really don't believe it should be thought of as a sit-com.
