Default cell phone + wallet + keys = not enough pockets

I always carry around those three things, but during the summer when I have no jacket, I only have my front two pants pockets to work with (keys in back pocket = ouch, cell phone in back pocket = crunch, wallet in back pocket = theft).

Now the wallet and cell phone are too large to coexist in the same pocket, whereas the keys have a nasty way of scratching up its cohabitant, whether it be the cell phone or the wallet (leather).

What am I to do?

A couple of your concerns are laughable. It's ok (standard) to put your wallet in your back pocket, and it's ok to put your wallet and keys together. If you insist that you can't do either of these things, get a fanny pack so people can classsify you on sight.

Just put your cellphone and keys in one pocket and wallet in the other. That's what I do. For Ipod I usually am carrying a shoulderbag and I just keep the ipod in there and listen with earphones.

Get rid of your friggin wallet. Get a money clip and a thin case for your credit cards and ID. Also get a thin phone, not some giant clunker.

Do most of you really not use belt clips on your cellies?
