Default AA how did I do so far?

Pretty new to the table, no real reads.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO ($19.36)
Button ($22.01)
SB ($42.75)
BB ($25.10)
Hero ($25.35)
UTG+1 ($30.65)
MP1 ($42.55)
MP2 ($44.39)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
Hero calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $1.5</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB (poster) calls $1.40, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $3.25</font>, MP2 calls $1.75, SB calls $1.75.

Went for the limp-RR in trying to call AA KK 20% of the time, raise 80%. Was the raise amount good PF?

Flop: ($10) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $6.15</font>, MP2 calls $6.15, SB calls $6.15.

Was the flop bet a good size?

Turn: ($28.45) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, Hero ??

What should I do on the turn with 2 callers? I only have $15.95 left in a $28.45 pot, and the 2 callers cover me.

Thanks!

-Tom

If you're going to go for the LRR, I guess UTG is the best place to do it. As long as your only doing it occasionally. And, I'd raise more since you got the chance. Maybe to 4.5? And bet more on the flop. Turn is an easy all in.

I pretty much never LRR, but make it at least $4.

Bet around $8 on the flop.

The LRR is rarely worth it at these stakes. Most players do not engage in even first-level thinking (i.e., asking themselves, "what does my opponent hold?"), so they do not automatically interpret your UTG raises as 10-10+, A-Js+ (or whatever your particular range is). So, there is really no need to mix up your play so as to disguise your holdings.

That being said, there are definitely times to pull the LRR, but I wouldn't do it just because you feel the need to mix up your play.

Bet larger amounts on each street to deny odds

I don't mind the LRR, but you have to raise more. No one that raised to $1.50 or called a $1.50 raise is folding for $1.75 more, so you're just asking for a big multiway pot. Once you get a multiway pot, I think you should bet closer to pot-size on the flop. You're almost certainly ahead, but for $6 any draws are getting good enough odds to call, especially if both of them come along. Easy push on the turn. There's no reason to think you're beat and you only have a half-pot bet left.

It's all been said, but....

Don't LRR at the 25s, deception value is nil. Raise it up and opponents will make the mistake of calling without your help.

As played, make a solid pot-size reraise preflop. It's $3.15 in the pot to you and $1.15 for you to call, so call the $1.15 and then add $4.30 on top, making it about $5.50 total.

As played, bet more on the flop, price out draws, $8-10.

Turn, in it goes.
