Extra Innings

So, I'm watching the Red Sox vs. the White Sox (in the 15th inning right now), and they are showing fans sleeping, and many of them have left. My question:

Would it be better to just leave games as ties at some point?

(I think I am the only american who likes ties. I would have ties in football, and hockey (both with no overtime), but I'm not sure about baseball).

Obviously, I'm only talking about the regular season.

Could they not bring out progressively extra wide bats for each overtime innings or maybe take off a fielder after each out, maybe the pitcher should have to do underarms instead of normal throws.

For a ball hitting game I think you need somthing a bit more high scoring, cricket for example over here you have one innings, sometimes two, but the scores can be anywhere between 150-500 depending on the match type. Much more exciting, has baseball considered doing somthing to make the scoring better, maybe a bigger pitch so there is more room to hit into? Also whats with the problem with the batsmen getting hit, in cricket getting hit is part of the game and a way of putting off the batsmen.

Ties are goddamn retarded.

How about after a certain number of innings every batter starts with a 3-2 count like in softball.

To join in on the trolling, the best solution is to cancel the whole baseball match and use the pitch for something that is interesting to watch.

[censored] the bastards that can't stay awake through this, its a pretty damn entertaining game now. extra innings in MLB is one of the most exciting sports situations especially when they last this long, although i wouldn't mind if it ended soon as i really need to use the toilet.
