Two teams in same division with 100+ wins?
Has this happened before? The Tigers and White Sox are on pace for 110 and 105 wins respectively. There's little chance of both staying on pace, plus they have 13 games between them still left.
1. Has this happened before? 2. What are the odds they both have 100+ wins at season's end? 3. If only one team gets above the 100 win mark, who is it? |

Re: Two teams in same division with 100+ wins?
The AL East has had 2 teams with 95+ wins the last 3 years.
I know it doesn't answer any of your questions, but I thought I would share. |

NT [/ QUOTE ] yeah, it was pretty dumb, but when the divisions were created, it wasn't really that big a deal geographically. sure, atlanta and cincinnati are farther east than chicago and st louis, but compare this to arizona being in the NFC east while carolina was in the west. |

That just reminded me that Atlanta used to be in the NL west, WTF was that all about? Sheesh. [/ QUOTE ] When there were only two divisions and not that many west coast teams, they had to put a couple of midwestern teams into the west. Cincinnati and Milwaukee seemed like decent enough choices, and when the Braves moved to Atlanta they just stayed in the same division. |
