Couple hands where I got value from calling down, needs correcting!
This first hand is a triumph of implied odds, but did I pull a boner by not raising when I hit?
$0.25/$0.50 - No Limit Hold'em Seat 1: x ($37.15) Seat 2: Villain ($86.50) Seat 3: Hero ($57.40) Seat 4: x ($7.10) Seat 5: x ($19.50) Seat 6: x ($109.70) x posts the small blind of $0.25 x posts the big blind of $0.50 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Hero [Ac Kc] x folds, x calls $0.50, Villain calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2.75On FTP I just hit "bet pot" whenever I raise preflop. The correct bet is $3 here, but $2.75 is close enough., x folds, x calls $2.25, x folds Villain calls $2.25 *** FLOP *** [7c 3c Qh] 2 checks, Hero bets $6, Villain raises to $14, Hero calls $8 Slightly bad pot odds, but I love the implied odds. *** TURN *** [7c 3c Qh] [2c] Villain bets $20, Hero calls $20 Am I correct in assuming that a push would be better than a call? He only had a little over $20 left and looked like he had a strong hand. *** RIVER *** [7c 3c Qh 2c] [Jc] Villain checks, Hero bets $20.65, and is all in, Villain calls $20.65 *** SHOW DOWN *** Hero shows [Ac Kc] (a flush, Ace high) Villain mucks Hero wins the pot ($115.30) with a flush, Ace high *** SUMMARY *** Total pot $118.30 | Rake $3 Board: [7c 3c Qh 2c Jc] Villain mucked [xx] Hero (button) showed [Ac Kc] and won ($115.30) with a flush, Ace high This second hand ANNOYS THE HELL OUT OF ME because I played so bad, yet the results were positive. I felt like such a donkey playing that way, but it was heads-up, and I don't have a lot of HU exp. $0.25/$0.50 - No Limit Hold'em Seat 2: Villain ($51.55) Seat 5: Hero ($48.25) Hero posts the small blind of $0.25 Villain posts the big blind of $0.50 The button is in seat #5 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Hero [8d Qd] Hero raises to $1.50 Had the button, raised reflop. No big deal., Villain raises to $4, Hero calls $2.50 *** FLOP *** [5d 4s 4d] Villain bets $6, Hero calls $6 Flopped a flush draw, but i didnt semibluff. Should I have? *** TURN *** [5d 4s 4d] [Qs] Villain bets $12, Hero calls $12 Flush draw plus top pair. Should I have pushed here? *** RIVER *** [5d 4s 4d Qs] [3c] Villain bets $26, Hero calls $26 Kind of a crying call, because the pot was so big. I felt like a total donkey. Should I have folded? *** SHOW DOWN *** Villain shows [Jd Jc] (two pair, Jacks and Fours) Hero shows [8d Qd] (two pair, Queens and Fours) Hero wins the pot ($95.50) with two pair, Queens and Fours Villain: jesus *** SUMMARY *** Total pot $96 | Rake $0.50 Board: [5d 4s 4d Qs 3c] Seat 2: Villain (big blind) showed [xx] and lost with two pair, Jacks and Fours Seat 5: Hero (small blind) showed [8d Qd] and won ($95.50) with two pair, Queens and Fours |
