Default PLO8 25$: Get quartered

I have flopped the nut low together with the nut flush draw. But the turn card means no help. Now what should I do on the turn and river? In other words, will anybody not lose 1/2 of his stack in these situations?

i wouldn't sweat hands like this. not only that, i'd probably reraise the turn -- the money is going in anyway. i won't even mention the times that some donkey will make this turn raise with KKxx or AAxx with a janky low (in which case you're freerolling).

betting the river is not bad either in cases that villain has a high hand with a weak low -- you might get the whole pot.

fwiw, i recommend you run the twodimes numbers against a range of villain hands to see where you're at.

Tough hand, but at this level, I think I lead this hand the whole way, unless I knew this guy was good, which is not always easy to tell. You have a nut FD and a made nut low w/ protection, you're freerolling here him a lot more than you're getting quartered.

I would also keep a note on this guy, he is very aggressive, and he is either good or a donkey bettor. I mean that was a good read that his TPTK was good, if he made that read. It's a very plausible read too, considering that flop and turn combinded is not likely to have helped your high if you play tight.

1. I would play it the same way you did. I think this is just one of those situations.

2. You were only 37.5% on the turn, which surprised me, id figured youd be doing a bit better than that. Youre only 56.2% on the flop, and this surprised me too.

3. The two things you could have done differently are:
a. Just got it all in on the turn. While you would be putting your case chips in the pot with only 37.5% equity, it saves you from putting them in on the river, when you have only 25% equity.
b. Fired some kind of defensive bet at the river, something around $8-$10. I think villain would PROBABLY just call if you did this, fearing that you had made trip 7s to go with your low, but im not sure.
