Default Party 3/6, Two pair against a LAG

Party 3/6 NL 6-max

Loose and aggressive player ($1200) opens for $20 in the CO, folded to me in the BB ($750) and I call w/ K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Earlier against the same opponent: He open raised in LP, I called in the blind w/ A8. I checkraised him on [4 8 4] flop, he 3-bet me and followed through with a big turn bet, I called. River went check/check and MHWG, he had complete air, Q9.

Anyway, on to the hand:

2 players ($42)

Flop: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I lead for $21, he calls.

2 players ($84)

Turn: K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, he bets $55, I raise to $145, he calls.

2 players ($374)

River: J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet $350, he calls.

Comments on all streets appreciated.

I'd lead the turn. I think that the c/r made him suspicious, so now lots of hands that he would play aggressivly are now just calling down (ie. lower 2pair).

Seems like a good opponent for this turn checkraise, but I would make it $200 or so, your checkraise is really small.

I agree, other than that, seems like you played it pretty well; If you checkraise to 200 though, you can bet 400 on the riv, just seems like a way to extract a little bit more value.

Anytime a LAG calls down, I assume I lost value somewhere by not letting him be his usual aggressive self. I can't see how c/r turn extracts the most from this opponent...You already have history with the c/r and your hand was good. Any chance you had that the villan keeps betting with worse hands is gone now.

CR works fine because most LAG's are also huge stations.
