my cards are face up, so he bets - so i call
been getting a lot of "omg jopke?" responses to some thin calls lately so i'll give you some more comedy.
villain is a good agressive $5/$10 reg. i am not 100% sure of his three-betting frequencies, probably because we haven't tangled a whole lot yet. i was in a pretty high gear at the time, 28/26 stats for the table session as of yet, so if he pays attention, his preflop range is probably pretty wide. I think you have to make your decision on the flop.
What would your action be to a double barrel? |

Re: my cards are face up, so he bets - so i call
I think this is QQ-AA going for the turn c/r all-in,
This is a horrible call, barring some very good reads. If he has something like MP/TP he's checking it through because his hand has showdown value, he's either got you crushed (an overpair or a set) or is on a complete bluff with overcards (which also have some showdown value). |

I dont know what your image is like but I would probably dump the flop [/ QUOTE ] And by the time you get to the river, all that is is QQ-AA trying to extract from TT-QQ. |

standard.
you non-flawless respondents think AA/KK tries to ck raise this turn on a disgustingly drawy board that often after previous action? this call is def +ev. |

Re: my cards are face up, so he bets - so i call
hero's most likely holding is obviously a pocket pair here (or AK/AQ). If villain has AcAx, he can make a safe assumption that hero isn't drawing. So, this is a decent line to get value from worse pairs while preventing him from getting owned too hard by a set. He can react to hero's turn action, and choose the best course of action.
However, when you check behind the turn, and he's trying to get value from his strong hand, wouldn't he bet smaller on the river so you could pay him off with a hand like 77? I think the big bet size indicates either a backdoored monster flush or air. so, decent call. |

Wow, I guess the way the turn goes (being a decent indicator of hand strength) you call the river bet and hope for 2 high cards by SB.
