Default NYC-->AC shuttles?

Making a trip to Manhattan later in the month for a bachelor party. I won't get there until midnight on Friday. Suggestion from another member of the party is to hop a shuttle to AC for the night and ride back in the morning. Any info is appreciated, including:

-how much is the ticket
-how often
-how long (2 hours, right?)
-how much drinking is allowed?

See if This is any help. they have buses leaving AC every 1/2 hour or so and tickets are good for 4 days. I live in Jersey so have never taken it out of NYC, but with money back deals should cost you about $10.

Edit: It's going to be about a 3 hour ride because they will make a stop between. I doubt drinking is permitted but whatever you can get away with

Not workable in my opinion.

Greyhound is better than Academy. Check their website for schedules. Buses do not run every half hour in the overnight hours.

Tickets cost $31 dollars, and you get $17-20 back from the casino.

The ride is around 2.5 hours.

No alcohol is permitted.

I hate that bus ride. The seats are too small and the crowd is... shady.

afish, how is Greyhound better? I don't think I've ever taken it before.

I think Greyhound is more reliable. There are more buses, and they show up. I got sick of Academy buses not showing up, and having to wander from casino to casino in search of a bus. Also, with Greyhound you can just go to the bus terminal and wait for the next departure.

The seats are a little better than Academy, too. The clientele is fairly low end.

Curious, how much is a one-way ticket? I'm driving down and going to be bussing it back. I've never taken a one-way ride. Any help?

One-way costs the same as the casino fare round-trip and doesn't get you the slots/buffet/keno/whatever coupon. (Though I'm not sure if you can buy the casino fare RT at the AC end.)
