5/10 flopped a flush and it\'s three bets to you
Party 5/10
Pretend your UTG+2 in a four-way, unraised pot. UTG (45/15/2.1) and UTG+1 (25/11/1.2) limped preflop, you overlimped, and it folded to the BB (29/14/2.2) who knuckles. The flop is Ah 2h 3h. BB bets, UTG raises, UTG+1 three-bets, and you cap it with a flush (your exact cards are unimportant at this point in the exercise). Turn is 5d. BB bets, UTG raises, UTG+1 three-bets... What is the smallest flush you are playing here? Does anyone not cap the flop with a flush? -McGee |

Re: 5/10 flopped a flush and it\'s three bets to you
I'm guessing the smallest flush I'd have is 67s, 78s, or 89s, I'd keep going at full speed.

For the sake of argument, say you have 76s.
You cap the turn, all call. The river action is the same (bet, raise, reraise). Your move? FWIW, I most likely cap the turn as well. |

I suppose I start to wonder a bit and Cap it anyway.

I think I tend to agree. You're obviously showing your hand down, and calling 3 cold on the river seems odd to me.

Although these guys aren't crazy by any means. Yeah, they're somewhat aggressive, but they're not LAGtards. Do you think you could find a river fold, or would that be horribly weak and wussy?

Re: 5/10 flopped a flush and it\'s three bets to you
It was late when I posted this and I don't think what I wrote was particularly clear, so let me just conver this into a regular hand post.
I held 76hh in this hand (the smallest flush possible), and having it come three bets to me on the turn after cold-capping the flop started to make me really not like my hand. I thought strongly about folding, and wanted to see if anyone else would. -McGee |

Re: 5/10 flopped a flush and it\'s three bets to you
Wouldn't 56s be the lowest possible flush? I would think very hard about throwing away a flush below a 9 here because you seem to have a couple of good players here playing the hand hard. Sometimes you will have one good player and one bad player going to town with a set and the Kh (nut flush draw) but against reasonable players you could get away from this I think. With a hand like 46s or 56s though, I would probably call down for the dream straight flush like a moron, but I think you can get away from this by the turn for all those bets with a weak flush. There are a lot of cards that can beat you here, probably any heart and any of the other 9 outs that pair the board, and you might already be drawing dead. Still a call down can't be faulted, players are capable of going maniac with less than the nuts.

Wouldn't 56s be the lowest possible flush? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, but since I am holding the 6h, no one can have a flush worse than the one I am holding. -McGee |

Re: 5/10 flopped a flush and it\'s three bets to you
yeah, i see what you are getting at...particularly WHICH(the semipassive) player is 3 betting on the flop and turn. i guess he could be getting out of line with a set or straight; i'm going to showdown, but at what point do you just want to get to showdown with 67s? good post.
