The 2nd most famous black woman alive
The first obviously being oprah.
I just had a long discussion with my roomate about this, and we came to absolutely no conclusion. We threw a couple names out there, but none even compare to Oprah's fame. Thoughts?

[/ QUOTE ] As an European I have to agree this one, I suppose most people around here basicly know who she is, but there's something about Beyonce or the Williams sisters or Rice more or less every day in the newspapers and tabloids. I don't ever remember seeing anything about Oprah. I wouldn't be able to spot her on the street as I don't really even remember what she looks like, but I'd spot Beyonce a mile away. Could be just me though.

I just asked my friend over AIM (19yo english student), and he said Oprah instantly.
