Default Pot Control??

Reads: I don't have any on the villian, but since he only raise to 5 PF, he's probably not great. I 've raised the last few hands at the table, so my image may be a bit laggy.

Comments: I'm fairly new to NL, but I've heard a little bit about the idea of controlling pot size out of position. I'm not sure this is the ideal situation.

i reraised 3x his raise, which has been my standard reraise. Do I need to reraise more since I'm OOP?

You didn't reraise 3x his bet. $15 is 3x. In this case though since you are OOP you would like to bet an amount that will more define his hand. Get the junk out and get more money in the pot while you know (unless he has exactly AA) you are ahead.

I am hard pressed to believe that he has a 4 in his hand. So again unless he has AA you are most likely ahead. I don't think at the point of the turn you should be worried about being behind but check calling here can do a couple of things. It lets your opponent bluff off his money when he holds 99-QQ etc.... and it does "manage the pot" a bit more. All in all though if you do run into AA here it would be tough to not get stacked here.

I personally like the lead out because of the draw heavy board. With all the previous action I am hard pressed to see him have anything but a set if he did connect. I probably just move in here (obviously calling is not a possibility) over folding.

ouch. $18 preflop helps get rid of garbage that hit this; this is important with deep stacks. tough lesson. (edit: you raised less than 3x his raise. 3.5-4x is a good standard here, it makes a big difference as to what garbage people will call with for 'implied odds').

Call, he can probably do this with QQ-TT. Check behind or fold river.

I can't really check behind on the river since I'm OOP. So is the plan to call and just c/f river if he bets, or c/c a reasonable sized bet.

Without a read I think you have to go broke against a set. Push now OOP. If we had position, calling might be best.
