Re: Pukey QQ hand
I don't like it. You still beat JJ. He might even cap with TT.

Re: Pukey QQ hand
I tend to agree and would probably call down. villain is tight, but the fact that there are two posters padding this pot makes it more likely he'd cap with JJ or even TT for equity. you're getting 5.5-1; if he'll cap with JJ or TT 15% of the time it's break-even.
also, by checking the flop you have announced you do not have AA, AK or KK, so he has mandatory bets on both streets after you check. you can't necessarily infer great strength from them. |

Re: Pukey QQ hand
older adage? don't necessarily reraise with q,q, from the blinds. i tend to agree with this. failing to reraise disguises a powerful hand that is also very susceptible to overcards. so, by not reraising, you can get away from the hand cheaply if deemed prudent, or, you can extract extra bets if things work out nicely...

Re: Pukey QQ hand
i dont know about a fold in this situation...We are only beat By AA, AK, KK based upon preflop action, compared to all the other hands we can beat a call down would be reasonable i assume

[/ QUOTE ] You are giving up a lot of pre flop $$ over the long run by not reraising with QQ here PF. You are going to win more than your fair share of pots with QQ. Not to mention reraising gives you a better feel for where you stand. |
