Tough situation.

I'd call and hope for a spade or a 9.

I'd also call the turn with the intent of check-folding a non-spade non-9 river. You're getting 6.5-1 on the turn; even if we count your spades as half outs (reverse implied odds) it's worth a call. 4.5 spade outs+2 9s=6.5 outs which gives you decent odds to call. You're going to have to c-call or bet/call a spade river though.

Agree with this. I don't understand how anyone can possibly advocate folding or raising anywhere. The flop C/R could be anything - a 6, 7, big spade, bluff, J, J with a spade, whatever. I would guess we are ahead probably a little more often than not, but raising anywhere just allows our opponent to really punish us when we are not or get away from his bad holdings.

Hero has a flush draw, did you miss that? The pot is 7.5 SB now, I can't imagine folding here.

Even counting flush draw as good 50% of the time you are still getting odds to call

I think if you fold situations like this, you're opening yourself up to getting run over. This hand should be going to showdown routinely.
