Default AKs against tight passive - played right?

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed)Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
4 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls.

Took a shot here and raised here because I saw BB 3 bet preflop, then lead out and fold to a raise twice now. Figured BB for AK, AQ etc. Thought if he had AA I would get reraised here and would fold.

Turn: (5.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: (5.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Final Pot: 7.25 BB

looks good.
Agree with you about the flop raise, and it also gets you the free turn card as well.

Thank God he didn't. That would have been a terrible fold.

Getting 11.5:1, folding a flush draw here if 3bet on the flop doesn't make sense.

you are raising here for the wrong reasons then, you should raise here and even cap because you have the nut flush draw, the pot is big and you got 2 overcards

You're saying that Hero should be raising/capping for value? Given his read of Villan, please show your work, including a hand range for Villan.

I would consider capping preflop. AKs is huge HU. On the flop you have 9 outs to the nuts plus your over cards. Folding to a 3-bet there would be a mistake.

I see now my plan to fold to a 3 bet was pitiful. Dont know what I was thinking.

BB had AKo for a split pot.

thanks
