SEC employment questions while playing as a professional
On the Nonprofessional Subscriber agreement form that must be filled out when opening a brokerage account, they ask very specific employment questions. With the possible changing status of Internet Gambling's legality, I am somewhat uncomfortable listing myself as a professional gambler anywhere but on my tax returns (and even there it makes me nervous too, but I don't have much choice).
What rights to privacy do I have in regards to this form while still being able to open the account? Can I say I am unemployed, or that I am a consultant (let's say I coach one player) while being technically truthful and without breaking some law? Anyone have any knowledge of, or experience with, this form? I don't want to find myself sharing a cell with Martha! Thanks, Nigel |

Re: SEC employment questions while playing as a professional
You should put down that you are self employed... Nigel Consulting or somesuch works fine.
