Default Too Many Aces?

This is not an 'online poker is rigged post'. I just noticed that I've been dealt Aces way too often lately. I figure it is just a short term statistical anomaly. But it is odd enough that I decided to post my findings.

This is on Party Poker, only the $25 NL game, from April 13 to April 30.

I have played 3076 hands, statistically I should expect to see each pair about 14 times. Here is the breakdown of each pair and the number of times they were dealt to me.

AA-30
KK-12
QQ-12
JJ-11
TT-15
99-18
88-16
77-17
66-14
55-12
44-10
33-14
22-14

Everything looks pretty normal, except for Aces (30 times) which seems way too high. I'm not complaining, for the most part they've held up and I'm way ahead.

I also note that in the 12 times I had Kings I ran into pocket Aces 3 times, which is also a bit high. One time would be about right, if the quoted odds of 20-1 is correct for this situation. Again, I'm not complaining, once I sucked out and won, and the other two times the player with Aces was on a very short stack. So I really have been quite lucky.

I realize that 3076 hands is not a large enough sample size. That is the main reason for my post. I would be curious if other 2+2ers who have played the $25 NL on Party between April 13 and April 30 would reply to this post with their results.

I hope to see lots of replies with hundreds of thousands of hands with Aces being dealt about once every 220 hands. That would help put my mind at rest.

Thanks.

How many times were your pocket aces suited? I think that could really shed some light on this mystery.

Yes, that's more like it. Thank you.

It would take me a year to play enough hands at that limit to have confidence in the results.

That's one advantage of a large online community, if you pool your experiences (or data) you get more meaningful answers.

10000 hands of .10/.25 NL I had AA 41 times (45 is about the norm)

for the other PPs, there are numbers like 58 pocket fours and 32 pocket Tens and such..just normal deviations.

nothing to worry about for such a small sample

No, I've played more than 10,000 hands of $100 NL and $200 NL on Party. The distribution of pairs at that limit was what I expected.

I like to play one table at a time. But this month I switched to the $25 NL just to 4 table while clearing bonuses.

I seemed to be getting AA a lot, and when I checked, Poker Tracker confirmed it. But 3000 hands is so few. I don't know what the odds are of getting 30 AA in 3000 hands.

But I'm seeing replies now that indicate that it is just normal variance.

I hope that doesn’t mean I'll get too few AA over the next 3000 hands - lol.
