Full Tilt Tournament Entry Deductions - Good News
Not sure if this is public knowledge but Full Tilt no longer auto-register players for any freerolls that they qualify for.
Basically this means that payers no longer have to opt out of tournaments in order to stop the cost being offset against their rake. (We would however add that some of these tournaments can offer great value for the investment which effectively only costs you 27% of the entry cost in rakeback - so it's worth keeping an eye on!) Re: Full Tilt Tournament Entry Deductions - Good News
This probably means that the 27% cost is actually going up, right?
If there are 500 players for a $10k but only 200 players show up and are just blinded-off then it still is supposed to have 1/500 of the prize-pool for the entry-fee (and 27% of that is lost in my received rake-back). But now it will cost me 1/200 of the prize-pool which is obviously more. I think they needed to change the structure to something like this because it was too hard evidently to opt-out of the freerolls. But for those who actually play the freerolls it's actually a slightly worse deal. |
