Default Foxwoods Saturday $560 tournament?

Going up to Foxwoods this week and playing in the $560 Saturday tournament.. wondering if any of you guys have played this, how it plays, etc.

Structure seems pretty good, I think. Comments on that?

How early is registration? Is there a cap?

Never been to Foxwoods, just Turning Stone and AC.

Answers to these, or anything else you might have to add would be great.

You will probably see one or all of the following characters or someone who looks/plays just like them. You will be frustrated and annoyed but if you run super hot and win every flip = $$$$$.

mod note - the photo in this thread has been edited out because the image combined with the comments after borderlines on slander. These players are not celebs or TV stars, they ae every day Joes. Millions of people read 2+2 (yes - MILLIONS), its not wise to tap on the fishtank.

lol.... I love all those fishies...

I hate the satellites there ( for the FPC and WPF world poker tour events) All those guys are in collusion with one another, makes me sick. (Not necc. all the ones pictured but there are a bunch of tourny regs you will recognize even if you go once a month.)

I would never sit in a single table satellite if I saw more than 2 regs in it.

I see them soft-playing all the time.

Check down after the flop is standard between to regs in a two way pot.

Anyone who says there's collusion among the tourney regulars is off their rocker.

I've played with all of them for a long time, and I can tell you that many of them are very, very, very good players, and also VERY competitive. They all want to win. Note I'm not talking about the regular fish that come to the poker room and play the $120 SNGs or Act 1's. I'm thinking of the 20 or 30 die-hard tourney regulars that live at FW. And do consistently win there.

Do a number of the regulars stake each other/have a piece of each other? Maybe so. But guess what - that's no different than any other live MTT scene/series you're going to run into anywhere.

Play all the act 2's and 3's that go every weekend for a few months and tell me if you still think they're colluding. The Act 3's are cutthroat. You see a lot of careful play, and some big laydowns, but this is just as much because a lot of us know each other's plays/hand ranges/moves inside and out like a book.

I personally have three full size notebooks full of information on the regulars. Absolutely essential knowledge if you want to consistently be successful playing tournies there.
