Default Let\'s talk dice control

From reading some stuff about this, I am starting to believe that a good shooter can influence the dice enough by avoiding rolling 7's to gain a significant advantage.

So let's say it is possible. Is it possible to learn this from a book or does one need a coach? Also, how much would the effects of say 5 Bloody Mary's prohibit my ability to gain said advantage?

Get Scoblete's books, and you'll need access to to a table that you can practice on for about 2 hours/day for at least a month before you really see any resuls. You'll be recording lots of data too. It's not an easy process.

I don't think it'll have any effect at all. I've had as many as 25-30 whiskeys while shooting craps -- and it never had any effect on my advantage.

I read the books and then got a dice coach. After being with the coach, I can't imagine learning how to precision shoot by just reading the book. Even buying a table and practicing isn't enough, you really need someone there who knows it to watch you.

If booze affects physically in any way, then no, you wouldn't be able to do this while drinking.

Didn't the Wizard Of Odds do some trials with this stuff? Anybody remember his findings?

Another question: do any casinos bar people from playing craps? (Besides the beligerent drunk guys that keep throwing the dice across the room in a fit of rage.) Do they ever say "I'm sorry, sir. I'm going to ask you to stop playing our house-advantage games. You're too good."?
