AKs in the SB with limpers, level 1
I got this hand from a video. The play of hero and the rationale seemed a little nonstandard, so I thought it would be interesting to discuss.
Level 1 of stuper, original stacks 2K, blinds 10/20. First 3 positions limp. You have AKs in the SB. How much do you raise to? I don't know if anyone here would complete. |

Re: AKs in the SB with limpers, level 1
Is completing really THAT horrible with 3 UTG limpers at this stage? The pot is only 90 and you're out of position having to put a chunky raise in to narrow the field?
I know it's AKsoooted and not saying I'd necessarily do it - but is it that bad? |

Re: AKs in the SB with limpers, level 1
I hate this spot and I often lose quite a few chips here. If you raise big, you 're getting called a lot because of implied odds. Raising big seems put us at risk of losing a big pot and rarely winning a big pot.
I wouldn't be surprised if the player shoved or called here. |

This is a raise. You have to think that they can be limping with so many hands. Try and get the pot heads up with a raise and then I C'bet the flop 100% of the time. If I make a large raise preflop and wiff on the flop then its C/F
