XP or Vista on new laptop?
I just ordered a macbook pro which I plan to use VMWare on in order to load a version of windows (hopefully temporary until PT3 and Hud and Stars all have a native mac version). I've never used Vista, but what would you guys load? Vista (and what version of that) or XP?

Re: XP or Vista on new laptop?
I prefer Vista, both on my laptop, my desktop and my mediacenter.

Re: XP or Vista on new laptop?
You'll get better support with Vista, but either is fine. You won't notice much difference. If you do get vista, then turn OFF aero as it'll eat your batteries alive |

Re: XP or Vista on new laptop?
Please use Vista, we need more beta-testers with all this poker software. PM me your email address so when I finally am forced to switch I can ask you how to make everything work.

Re: XP or Vista on new laptop?
I think I'll probably just load XP. it's only temporary anyway because as soon as PT3/Hud are available for Mac with a native copy, I'll be using Leopard exclusively.
Edit: thanks for the opinions guys |

Re: XP or Vista on new laptop?
Vista works fine for me. I run Pokerstars, PT, and Pahud on it with no problems.. except for when I used flicker free drawing on PAHUD... then pokerstars starting freezing on me.

Re: XP or Vista on new laptop?
From a guy who does tech support:
use XP, you'll be much happier at the end of the day. From a guy who tinkers with computers: you could always make a VM of each and use both for a while and see which you like better. Then, when you realize it's XP, just use that one K |
