There are always games going at Absolute & Paradise. You can usually find a few at FT and UB as well.

No. There are way more games now than there were two years ago.

Lo8 isnt dying as much as PLOHL is taking over. PLOHL leaves room for more action. You can still find L08 games all over the internet, but PLOHL games are usually much more congested, and is probably where the money is goin in the next few years (obv not over NLHE, but still...).

i heard somewhere o8 is the most popular non-holdem poker game right now, not sure if it's true but it's possible. probably because a lot of stud, LHE and plo players are playing it.

and 20-40 might be boring to players who want to play 100-200 ... point being, depending on someone's bankroll - a 1/2 game can give them all the rush they need.

5-10 LO8 & below is highly profitable , Nuff Said.

FYP.

Seriously, I have made a lot more money playing low stakes LO8 both online (Pokerstars and WPX up to 3/6) and live (3/6, 4/8, often with a kill) over the last two months than I have playing LHE at higher levels (up to 20/40) at any time.

Now maybe that's because I am a crappy LHE player or maybe its just because a competent LO8 player has such a large advantage over the field of donks while a competent LHE player is more likely to face better competition... whatever the reason, I will take the cash...

It never really was that popular, i'd say it's growing more than it's dying. If it does start to really die off thats bad news for me since I can't play PLO8 to save my life.

I hope not, I have spent most of the year learning to be a break even player. I am almost there.
