Borgata Poker Open
Who from 2p2 is going?
I plan on staying their for the full duration, where should I stay? Can I get the poker rate(is their one?) from just playing the tourneys? Is their a better alternative for lodging? Not looking to spend a ton but won't stay in a dump. |

Re: Borgata Poker Open
Yeah, stay at the Borgata, the poker rate is below anything else (non poker rate) in AC, pretty much all of AC is a dump other than the Borgata.
The structures of these events are phenomenal, more bang for your buck than anywhere. |

Re: Borgata Poker Open
Don't know who has a players cards there or not but gboro is correct that on the website it says:
Special room rates available to tournament players. Sun - Thurs: $149, Fri: $199, Sat: $229 Call 1.866.MYBORGATA for more details! However when you call try to get the "Poker Rate" not the "Poker Tournament Rate" If you have a players card already with some poker hours on it you might be able to get the standard poker rate of $125 instead of the tournament rate of $149 |

[/ QUOTE ] I'm there for the first week. $500 Wed, $750 Thurs, 1k Friday, maybe Saturday if I cash in anything. Depends on how you are getting to AC. If you are flying in, then I'd say stay at Borgata. Rates there are pretty comparable to the rest of the boardwalk (Taj, Resorts, Trop). The problem is when you stay at any other casino or hotel, you have to drive to the Borgata. It isn't within walking distance of anything. If you are driving to Atlantic City, then any casino is as good as any other for lodging. For all the cheap guys (like myself) there are several clean hotels about 5 miles from Borgata on Absecon (US 30). I think there is a Comfort Inn, Ramada Express, Knights Inn, etc. The generic chains, nothing fancy. Either way, if you don't stay at the Borgata, you are going to shell out either parking/gas or taxi. If you can afford the extra, pay for the convenience of staying at Borgata. |
