I tried pokerace to see opponents hands (trial version). But I don't feel like purchasing it. Is there a free software similar one that I can get to work on multiple tables

I use Gametime/Tourney time which is a function of the Pokertracker program. I do not use the HUD but have stats open in a different window and can open as many windows as you want for multitabling. Probably not as useful as PAHUD but works good for me, as long as you do not mind flipping back and forth to retrieve stats. There is a (free) HUD associated with Gametime but I have not used it as I play only MTT and only play one at a time and the HUD numbers on my screen get on my nerves and with one table it is easy to click back and forth to see stats. If you are multitabling you may need the hud for efficiency sake.

I use realtime it has a lot of the same features as PAHUD such as showing mucked cards, customisable display. It also shows 3bet, and fold to 3bet% which I find useful.

I agree that with single-tabling (and tournaments too) that PA isn't likely useful for you. I found its usefulness increased as I went to more and more tables. Also the nature of small stakes tournaments (tons of players, don't get tons of data on opponents due to volume + constant table changes). Totally not worth it there.

Gametime+ is not horrible.

Realtime HUD has more features, but it crashed a lot on my system. I found Gametime+ stabler back when I used that (I use PA now).
