Fold too soon?
Villain is 30/11/1.78 over 190 hands
Poker Stars Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $.50/$1.00 8 players Converter Pre-flop: (8 players) hero is MP1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 folds, hero raises, MP2 folds, CO calls, 3 folds. Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2SB, 2 players) hero bets, CO raises, hero folds. Results: Final pot: 1BB I figured with the Q and the J on board and his wide range preflop, I'm beat a lot here. Still, peel one more card and reevaluate? OR is my fold OK. |

Re: Fold too soon?
About the only thing you are beating is an OESD or someone putting you on exactly a AK while they have a pp. If this guy continues to raise your c-bets in these situations you'll want to look him up, but not now.

Re: Fold too soon?
Yes, good fold. 30/11/1.78 makes me curious but you can't call this.

Re: Fold too soon?
I think you have to fold. That flop hits a lot of cold calling hands. Basically the alternative is paying 2.5 more BB to win 6. I don't think you are ahead 1/3 of the time here. Plus there are plenty of cards that could come that will make things look even worse.

Re: Fold too soon?
I like the c-bet and I like the fold to the raise. Nice hand.
