that's funny. i posted a similar hand a second ago.

PF: I like a call. No need to raise here.
Flop: I don't know it's close (only because he limpoed called)...I guess a call is fine.
TURN: I fold.
River: I fold.

i think on the river you have to call. your getting 4:1.

if your worried about 88/99, could consider raising the river to push them out?

I would fold the turn typically. Even if villan is bluffing (w. something like 88), he still has you beat.

thats what i figured. I thought a Q was a good river to shove on especially after his weak bet (aka same bet on turn and river thats usually weakness right?)

I use that to draw action from creative players alot.. i was just hoping this wasnt one of them..

any thoughts on this?

I think that if your going to fold, the turn is the place to do it. i thought abotu raising the flop but it doesnt seem like that great of an idea to me.

if im sticking out the hand its probably to bluff at a later street and I think that Q is a great card although a A/K would be better.

If the river were a king or ace, I think this would be a better bluff raise. 88+ will still look you up here.

OP, I think the flop call is fine, but raising may make the hand easier and cheaper to play.

You're getting good odds to limp. If you raise and get called in a couple places, than it's the suck. Most flops will be hard to play if you don't flop a set, even though you will have position.
