Re: $12t - Standard Crappy Overpair
well it's HU which is pretty good. I think SB leads all sorts of pairs here w/ straight draws possibly. Lots of bad turn cards that can roll off, making our hand very difficult to play. I would be raising to 375 and I guess mucking to a shove most likely. Not sure if this is best really, playing for stacks this early w/ an overpair vs an unknown isn't good either.

Re: $12t - Standard Crappy Overpair
Hmmm I'd prolly just call.
I don't like raising because I don't think someone leading into ppl will fold a whole lot here to a raise after betting a close to potsize bet, this looks incredibly strong to me. Our hand should still have decent equity against a lot of(combo)draws here, that's why I like a call. |

He could be leading in with a [censored] 6 to see where he's at, I'll probably call and re-evaluate on the turn

Nobody's objecting to the limp preflop. Is it bad to raise to 180 here?

Re: $12t - Standard Crappy Overpair
sence, if villian bets turn, what turns are you comfortable with? T-A are ghey. any card 2-7 is bad for us as well. Pretty much unless the turn is a 8 or 9, its bad for us and we look extremely bad when bet into. I don't like calling and hoping he decides not to bet again.

[/ QUOTE ] T-A are not that bad imo, since he lead the flop into 5 guys. I doubt he does this with overs. If he has A6 and randomly hits his ace, oh well. But basically we shouldn't be really afraid. I hate raising like 30% of my stack with the intension of folding to a push. Seems to be bad in a sng where chipspreserving is gold. 2/7 are bad, clubs obv too, but I still call a reasonable turnbet since he might semibluff on. Also note, that with the turncall we prolly have not invested more than with a flop raise, but got villain to put more chips in the pot. Because he has initiative, he might do this with weaker hands than if we took it. It's a tough one, but raise/fold on the flop does seem to be bad $EV-wise. |

It's call or fold. Raising is really terrible. I think I just fold.

Raising is the very correct play here, I'd expekt to see a lot of one-pair hands+draws here from SB and o.k., sometimes a set (or 2pair we have outs against). But calling brings us in awkward situation, as what turn card other than a 9 should we like? And folding is reasonable at 60-250SnG with a weak-tight SB, but not in a $12 SnG. (And probably not in a higher stakes SnG if SB is not a weak-tightish fish). Folding is just weak. Yes, of course, you can fold, but don't cry if all you get about 5% ROI. |

Hmmmm this is a lot closer than I thought I didn't realize SB was so short I probably see how he lost his chips and shove.
