This is a datamine of the old 5/10 game on Partypoker. As you can see, the best players' winrates tended to approach 5PTBB/100 and not go much higher. Undoubtedly, the games now are much more difficult than the 5/10 on PartyPoker used to be, and so the achievable upper bound on winrates must have also decreased.

If you are a 5/10 regular, I'd like to request that you share with us the current winrate (over a semi-significant number of hands, at LEAST 60k~) that you are sustaining at 5/10, so that we can get an idea of what kind of winrates are currently achievable in the current climate of 5/10. There's no real reason to withhold it since the knowledge doesn't really give anybody any sort of edge over you, so it'd be nice if we could get a wide number of people so that we can get a good survey.

Personally I'm negative at 5/10 lifetime, so I don't have a winrate to report. Straate told me that he has about a 3.2PTBB/100 winrate over 55k hands (not very significant, but it's a start). OR, if anybody has been datamining 5/10, sharing a datamine would also be very useful.

Thanks.

WTF HMM_SURE on the list? He was about the worst short stacker ever from what I saw. Shows what I know I guess.

FWIW my lifetime rate at 5/10 is over 5 on Party, and has been pretty good since the US players left. It is harder to find decent tables now though and there are times when the small number of tables running are just about full of decent (or better) players.

those games obv were much softer. i bet if you're good at poker like one of the best at 5/10 you can do like 5-7 pt bb. if you are mediocre you can do like 4-5 with good game selection and a lack of tilt.

Assuming loads of hands I don't believe anyone can run with an expected long term winrate of over 7 now on PP, if you allow for the awful runs you get from time to time. I've not seen any stats even when there were the US players that showed 300k hands, say, at over 7 at 5/10 and it's harder now.

Isn't that on Prima though or some other non US site? Impressive nonetheless, but for sites like Stars/FTP I think it'd be way difficult to sustain a > 5 ptbb winrate unless you are CTS or something. I imagine nobody on Stars is beating 5/10 for over 5, possibly TalentedTom is (just guessing since he had a 70k month at 3/6 the other month and moved up to 5/10).

Honestly worrying the best achievable winrate isn't worth the time. The only players on that list who have an easily copied style are BoostedJ and Le77er. The top of that list requires a ton of creativity that one can't copy. Try playing like Stoplose or Lolo for a week. You'll realize that they are freakishly good players, whose style is fluid enough that it isn't easily reproducable.

As for the postban winrates its only been two months and you are going to see players at the top who won the "variance lottery." I would be surpised if more than 10 players playing 5/10 have logged 80K+ hands post ban.

If you're looking to improve take a good look at how BoostedJ and Le77er played.

are you only talking about party?
i've played over 80k hands at 5-10 since the ban and i'm pretty sure there are a bunch of players who play a lot more than i do
