Online gambling illegal in Nevada?
I was considering moving to Las Vegas or the Henderson area but I saw somewhere that online gambling is illegal in Nevada. Any online professionals here who live in Nevada? If so, what are the risks?
Basically, I'm trying to find somewhere to move. Where would the most ideal place be in the US for an online pro? Is there an ideal place to save on tax? (No city tax for instance.) I would really appreciate any advice you guys may have. |

Nevada has an internet poker law that requires SITES to be licensed in Nevada. This law is probabaly unconstitutional, but it does not affect you as a player anyway: Nevada has no law making the PLAYING of online poker illegal. As for suggestions on places to move, Nevada is a good choice tax wise and for a number of obvious other reasons. I'd live there if it wasnt for the summer heat. But you could also move to New Hamsphire, the "live free or die" state: No income tax, no sales tax, beautiful scenery and no law against internet poker - no casinos in NH though, closest non-charity live poker is 2 1/2 hours away in Foxwoods. And winters in NH can be rough if you dont like snow. Skallagrim |

my answere was serious. Canada as far as I can tell has no laws against internet gambling and no fear of it either as where anywhere in the U.S. can ban it anyday now.
