PLO100 - Small rundowns v obvious Aces
SB is a complete donkey (79/26/2.3) - im aware you can get smart lags but he just isnt one loves calling down and only bets with the nuts, very readable. is this ok to call pre flop with this hand? and after doing so whats my flop move??
Cryptologic Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 6 players Converter Stack sizes: Hero: $192.55 UTG+1: $96.50 CO: $201.35 Button: $84.50 SB: $189.70 BB: $149.72 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero raises to $3.5, 2 folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB raises to $17.5, Hero calls, Button calls, SB calls. I like preflop call.
I like raising the flop to protect your hand and extract as much value as you can. You're probably ahead, but a lot of turns can shut down action for you even if you stay ahead. |

Re: PLO100 - Small rundowns v obvious Aces
preflop is 100% standard. Based on his stats I doubt he "only bets with the nuts", he probably makes a decent amount of continuation bets. Go all in now, you really do expect to have the best hand.

Re: PLO100 - Small rundowns v obvious Aces
Everything is fine assuming you pushed the flop. If he's overaggro then there are enough weak draws in his range (for which you have blockers) to warrant a raise here.

Re: PLO100 - Small rundowns v obvious Aces
preflop is fine even though I wouldnt hate folding to the reraise sinse you have poor relative position postflop if others comes along + risk that someone behind might reraise.
push flop for sure. |

Re: PLO100 - Small rundowns v obvious Aces
ok thanks for the replies i thought this hand was totally standard, until i saw what everyone else had.....
Cryptologic Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 6 players Converter Stack sizes: Hero: $192.55 UTG+1: $96.50 CO: $201.35 Button: $84.50 SB: $189.70 BB: $149.72 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero raises to $3.5, 2 folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB raises to $17.5, Hero calls, Button calls, SB calls. Re: PLO100 - Small rundowns v obvious Aces
lol mr. 10% won it. Also, you were a little better than a flip with the BB so I'm not sure I'd consider it a bad move.
As nice as the SB's hand looks, I don't think I call with it on this flop because I'd assume theres a good cance the flush draw is dead and his straight draw is owned by higher straight draws. Button is probably the only person I think played the hand well (your play was fine as well). |

if I was sb in that hand I would call in less than 2 seconds.

Re: PLO100 - Small rundowns v obvious Aces
yeah i was pretty confident i was getting the best of it against BB and AAxx even if he had a flush draw with $70 of dead money in the pot, i just couldnt believe i got in so much trouble in what i thought at the time was a totally standard spot
