AK, boring preflop decision
Simple boring preflop decision
CO had been running at around 25/18/3 SB had been 22/10/4 Do we flat call this 3-bet, fold, or re-raise? I think re-raise has to be wrong. Thoughts? Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $5/$10 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $1,262.00 Hero (BB): $1,014.50 UTG: $1,015.00 CO: $939.00 BTN: $2,390.25 Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 Players) UTG folds, CO raises to $35.00, BTN folds, SB raises to $125.00, Hero? |

Re: AK, boring preflop decision
well, i dont think your going to be up against AQ or less ever here so chances are your flipping for the pot. against some players i would 3 bet here and against some of the more tag players i would contemplate a fold. totally situation and player dependent. i think i am raising more often than i am folding here however.

Re: AK, boring preflop decision
SB doesn't look like the type who will 3-bet a wide range so I fold. If SB is more like 22/18 you have a pretty easy shove.

But how can we make such a ridiculous overbet? I don't understand why no one ever bets something like $350 and then call a shove or get it in the flop? |

Re: AK, boring preflop decision
SB is too tight, fold. If they were both PFR20 or smth then a case can be made for sometimes shoving.
