Default UFC 67

If you don't know who Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic is, you owe it to yourself to watch this fight. He's head and shoulders above anyone in the UFC, and it would be a major upset if this fight goes to the second round. He'll be the next heavyweight champ (unless Couture upsets Sylvia, in which case he'll just steamroll Couture in the very next title fight).

Silva destroying Lutter will be just as entertaining. This card doesn't really have any great evenly-matched fights, but there should be lots of KO's.

Main Card Bouts:
-Mirko Cro Cop (#2 Heavyweight in the World) vs. Eddie Sanchez
-Anderson Silva (#2 Middleweight) vs. Travis Lutter
-Quinton Jackson (#7 Light Heavyweight) vs. Marvin Eastman
-Roger Huerta vs. John Halverson
-Scott Smith vs. Patrick Cote

Preliminary Bouts [bout placement is subject to change]:
-Ryoto Machida vs. Sam Hoger
-Tyson Griffin vs. Frank Edgar
-Jorge Rivera vs. Terry Martin
-Dustin Hazelett vs. Diego Saraiva

Lutter-Silva will not be as much of a blowout as people are expecting.

i agree, lutter has insane bjj skills, silva has been prone to submissions in the past.

also, is that right? machida is going to be on the undercard? thats pretty disappointing.

I've never been, but I have not heard good things. It's near Times Square, which is an immediate negative point. Also, the cover charge is at least $20, and the TVs aren't even that good. You'd probably be better off watching at somebody's apartment. NYC is terrible place for watching PPV's because: a) space is at a very high premium, and b) NY has some weird law that forces bars to pay a ton to legally televise PPV's, which essentially deters any of them from showing them.

Anyone in the Chicago area going to watch this at any of the listed sports bars? A few friends and I are debating about whether to go to a casino (which will hopefully have it) or just staying in the city and finding a sports bar.

I'm looking forward to this one. Cro Cop should have about 20 seconds of work ahead of him and I'm interested in seeing is Silva is as invincible as I once thought Franklin to be. Does anyone know where Eastman has been fighitng recently? I'm assuming that Rampage is the big favourite but he seems to me to have been pretty lacklustre since losing to Wandy way back when.
