i have $%^# little moths in my kitchen
they're not everywhere but i'm sure that if i walked into my kitchen i could see 4 or 5 on the walls or flying around without looking too hard. they're about a centimeter long.
my kitchen is clean for a house with 4 20-something guys in it, which is to say somewhat clean. |

Re: i have $%^# little moths in my kitchen
Check your flour or other grain products for small, worm-like critters. These are probably "grain moths". They lay their eggs in flour, cereal, etc., the caterpillars eat the grain product and become little moths. You will probably need to throw everything else. Keeping flour, cereal, etc. in metal or plastic containers with tight fitting lids is the best defense.

Re: i have $%^# little moths in my kitchen
We had something like this hatch out of the rice we got at the Asian market down the street on Buford Hwy. It was disgusting and disturbing. They got all over all the other food in our pantry. I think 'Chair flailed at them with a rag until they were all dead. Ick.

Re: i have $%^# little moths in my kitchen
I had this happen once. But I had vaulted ceilings in the kitchen and no ladder to get the ones on the ceiling. It got real bad. I ended up throwing everything in the pantry out except for canned goods. And I mean anything in plastic or boxes. Grains, flour, cereal, rice, sugar etc.
Once I removed the food source, I had to use the cannister vac to suck up the remaining ones, twice a day. And I had to get a tall ladder to reach the ones on the ceiling. It sucked. I was about one moth short of calling an exterminator, but I finally got it beat. It took me over a week to do it. |
