I mean, this is a fairly common situation. This is literally my first hand at the table. Do you usually stack off here for a little under 100BBs? |

Re: QQ preflop, 1/2
He was on tilt from shoving JJ into my KK in the exact same spot, so I'd call against that guy. Given that you didn't know that, I'd call anyways. People get tricky too often with AA/KK to lay down to a big push.

[/ QUOTE ] well im just trying to get into the head kinda of the average unknown, and im just not sure what their range is in this sort of situation. in your "everyman" range, is AK included here? JJ? i'm really not sure, and i should be, since it's such a simple, everyday situation. |

Re: QQ preflop, 1/2
No reads/history this is an easy fold IMO. Yes this is AK sometimes, but JJ almost never. Your equity is poor vs. his range, and unless you have shown a history of light 3betting you gotta fold.
If he's a poor player who raises a lot, this is a much, much larger range usually hoping for a coinflip with a bit of FE. |

Re: QQ preflop, 1/2
yeah it just seems so nitty giving ever unknown a range of KK+ everytime they 4bet
but maybe thats best until i know better |

Re: QQ preflop, 1/2
Give em QQ+/AK and you're still well behind. IME only a fish has a range here that you beat.

Re: QQ preflop, 1/2
This is how I play KK/AA (and sometimes QQ) at FT when the boyz are 3-betting like madmen, because they always look you up with AQ and AK (they think you're frustrated).
Unknowns? No idea how they play. |
