So, I just saw a speech by Ron Paul on Sunday and it was awesome and he mentioned that he is still considering a presidential bid. I know some ACists have said previously that they will never vote in elections. I was curious about this phenomenon so I thought some polltarding was in order.

First off, there is no such thing as polltarding in this forum. Polls are fun.
Second, where did you see the speech? Third, I voted that I would not vote for Ron Paul, mostly because I like big government. |

[/ QUOTE ] At the free state project forum in NH yesterday. He did a really great job. It was a bit of preaching to the choir but he handled it well. His ending quote was great: "We do need a strong president; A president strong enough to not take power he shouldn't have." Very well delivered, got a big standing O. [ QUOTE ] Third, I voted that I would not vote for Ron Paul, mostly because I like big government. [/ QUOTE ] Heh, yup, I figured |

[/ QUOTE ] He wants to remove our involvment with an idiotic colection of beurocrats who constantly seek to harm the US and that makes him a loon ??? I have yet to hear him be wrong or "looney" on any issue. A sure sign that he can't win. NeBlis |

I have looked through his voting record and he's voted the same way as I would have on every issue I looked at. One that I had to think about was when I saw he voted "No" on giving the congressional medal of honor to Rosa Parks. Then I saw his remarks and he pointed out that it costs $5000 to mint each medal and the taxpayer shouldn't have to pay for that. Very good point. |

Deleted http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul-arch.html A colection of articles by Ron Paul. Warm up your strawmen, kiss your copy of The Communist Manifesto and flail away. [/ QUOTE ] Funny stuff. I'm afraid I'm too mired in my simple-minded communism to invest my time in the subtleties of those two-page, one-sided propaganda pieces. Can you find me some half-hour podcasts? |
